Barley Execution Manager

Missions essentielles

As a Barley Supply Chain Manager you work closely with the cooperatives and private collectors to make sure the barley delivery process is smooth and efficient.
You are the team leader of the Barley Execution team that exist out of 6 members. You will also be the first point of escalation for the plants, quality and barley procurement team in case of issues with deliveries.

Your responsibilities 
Raw Material Inbounds & Logistics Management

  • Lead the barley execution planning (short and long term) for the plants in your scope and secure non disruption in the barley supply and consequently in plant barley stocks.
  • Monitor all contractual obligations associated to the entire barley contracts book and ensure no execution defaults.
  • Engage, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders: barley, operations, logistics providers, Coops, S&OP and technical teams across the region
  • Negotiate tariffs (short and long term) with freight service providers as well as other service providers linked to barley execution.
  • Provide key input to the regional SC Manager and barley sourcing Manager regarding logistics trends and performance. Participate in road, rail and barge strategy elaboration for the West Continental Europe. Integrate CO2 reduction dimension within SBTi company objective.

Ensure planning processes and methodologies are consistent and efficient per site for optimized execution across your region

  • Exchange planning information with the barley sourcing team, so both long term and short-term planning are aligned and this through the regional S&OP process as well as ad-hoc if required.
  • Own the S&OP, inventory & master planning for barley execution for the plants in your scope and ensure efficient connectivity with other stakeholders.
  • Manage the barley execution team & processes efficiency. Look at best practices elsewhere.
  • Ensure business continuity by permanent process improvement and proactive risks identification.
  • Monitor logistic costs and provide solution in their reductions and optimizations in the process.

Profil / Compétences requises

  • +5 year of Supply Chain and cereals contract execution experience
  • Experienced in leading a team, with excellent communication and people skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the Food / Malt industry is a plus
  • Master degree in Agriculture/ Logistics or any other relevant fields
  • Fluent in English and French. Other language(s) is a plus
  • Experience with JDE and other ERP.
