Blending Operator

Missions essentielles

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Comply with all safety, hygiene, and behavioral rules across all operational areas.

  • Follow assigned shift schedules, coordinate with the Shift Team Leader, and complete tasks as instructed.

  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and logbooks in approved formats.

  • Assemble and dismantle assigned machinery as directed by the Line Manager.

  • Ensure proper housekeeping of machines and surrounding work areas.

  • Execute cleaning processes according to instructions from the Team Leader.

  • Recover and sort rejected bags due to deformation or folding, as required.

  • Operate assigned machinery in line with planned performance targets.

  • Accurately record machine downtime and production output.

  • Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance and perform quick fixes when required.

  • Maintain effective communication with integrated departments to ensure smooth plant operations.

  • Ensure proper shift handover with clear communication and good housekeeping.

  • Prevent unauthorized personnel from accessing assigned work areas.

Safety & Environment:

  • Be accountable for personal safety and that of assistants and cleaners, promoting a zero-harm work environment.

Food Safety & Quality Management:

  • Adhere strictly to Food Safety (FS) and Quality Management System (QMS) policies, procedures, and instructions.

Energy Management:

  • Record energy inputs to support energy targets and report performance to the relevant department.

Profil / Compétences requises

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within malting, brewing, or a similar industry

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluency in English and Amharic.
