Main Tasks
Boortmalt is seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Electrical Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment across the plant. This role focuses on executing both planned and unplanned maintenance, diagnosing electrical issues, and optimizing system performance in line with safety, quality, and reliability standards. The successful candidate will work closely with the technical, operations, and quality teams to minimize downtime, enhance energy efficiency, and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and manage planned and unplanned electrical maintenance activities across plant installations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical faults to support continuous plant operations.
- Provide technical support to the maintenance and operational teams on electrical systems.
- Monitor and maintain electrical equipment including motors, control panels, lighting, PLCs, sensors, and instrumentation.
- Read, interpret, and work from electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, and blueprints.
- Perform calibration, installation, and repair of electrical and control systems.
- Implement and support preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Apply reliability engineering tools such as Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA).
- Use automation tools such as TIA Portal and WINCC to troubleshoot PLC-based systems.
- Accurately log all maintenance activities and updates for handover and record-keeping.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and collaborate with the electrical supervisor to ensure availability.
- Support the development and implementation of maintenance SOPs and work instructions.
- Identify and contribute to energy-saving initiatives and sustainability efforts.
- Participate in BOPEX (Boortmalt Operational Excellence) initiatives and WCM (World Class Manufacturing) practices.
- Ensure strict adherence to Boortmalt’s safety, health, and environmental standards.
