· Preparation and wet chemistry analyses of raw material and finished product malt samples.
· Ensuring preparation and analytical procedures and associated tasks are conducted in accordance with Boortmalt
Standard Methods
· Participation in laboratory proficiency testing schemes
· Calibration and maintenance of analytical instrumentation and their accessories
· Highlighting anomalies in results and sample type/behaviour and undertaking subsequent investigations
· Management of reporting, record keeping and investigations of non-conformances
· Ensuring compliance with Boortmalt Good Laboratory Practices
· Ensuring compliance with Boortmalt EHS requirements and required training
Degree, preferable higher degree in agriculture, food science, chemistry or related discipline.
· Analytical and detailed
· Ability to quickly respond to and resolve issues

· Good time management skills
· High level of computer literacy
· High adaptability and capacity for change
· Comfortable communicating and operating in a team environment
