Maintenance Supervisor

Main Tasks

  • Ensure uninterrupted production continuity of electrical and mechanical systems throughout the malting facility.
  • Identifying the pro-active work needed to prevent functional failures. This includes the creation and review of maintenance job plans for all assets were required.
  • Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day work of two maintenance electrician and three mechanical fitters.
  • Reviewing repetitive failures (bad actors). Participate in root cause analysis and help identify and implement improvements.
  • Management of maintenance contractors and service providers.
  • Ensuring that Preventative Maintenance program is being completed as per schedule with histories and cost recorded.
  • Ensuring the factory has right critical spares and stock levels of components and consumables are maintained.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance team, encouraging collaboration and accountability.
  • Maintenance tasks are performed in accordance with Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and policies.
  • Ensuring plant Food Safety, HACCP, Quality and Continuous Improvement systems are followed and requirements are met (FSSC 22000 and others).

Skills and Qualifications / Master we are looking for ?

  • Trade Qualifications (Mechanical or Electrical);
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and reliability planning of industrial scale equipment.
  • Technical experience of rotating assets, electric motors, pneumatic control, hydraulics, conveyors, refrigeration and gas burners.
  • Engaging attitude with good interpersonal, communication and team-based management skills.
  • Supervisor and administration skills and experience.
  • Strong maintenance team leadership skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on approach to problem solving.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management & ERP Systems (Maximo & SAP highly regarded).
  • Good grasp of MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with the requirements of working in a food production or soft commodities environment would also be well regarded.
