Missions essentielles

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Manager to lead our operations in Buckie and Glenesk. As a Site Manager, you will inspire, shape, and develop high-performing teams to drive and optimize operations, advancing our regional goals in distilling supply. Your leadership will ensure the full potential of our people, plant, and processes, consistently achieving and improving on targeted KPIs (SHE, Compliance, Food Safety & Quality, Productivity, Efficiency & Asset Care).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a successful health and safety culture, ensuring safe working practices for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Lead, coach, and inspire the Scotland operations teams (Buckie and Glenesk) to optimize their potential and achieve best-in-class quality distilling malt supply.
  • Develop and implement strategic tools and frameworks, including training and succession plans, to shape a 5-year resource plan.
  • Ensure compliance across all Scotland sites, maintaining strict management of plant hygiene practices and promoting adherence to established systems.
  • Champion continuous improvement through Boortmalt Operational Excellence (BOPEX), engaging with local, regional, and group operations teams to drive innovative solutions and sustainability roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with related departments to develop customer-centric solutions, striving to produce the highest quality products and manage site budgeting and forecasting processes for effective cost management.
  • Support critical thinking and problem-solving to successfully manage complexity, ensuring the process is reliable and repeatable to produce consistent quality to the desired specification first time right.

Profil / Compétences requises

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in the distilling or manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record in health and safety management, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in strategic planning and implementing training and succession plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Ability to understand and manage emotions, fostering a positive work environment and strong team dynamics.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skills in resolving conflicts and addressing issues constructively to maintain a harmonious workplace.
