Production Manager - Sydney

We are looking for a motivated and curious Production Manager who is eager to deepen their expertise in malt manufacturing and play a key role in our ongoing success. Tasks & responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring process conditions to ensure malting objectives are achieved. 
  • Work with supply chain coordinator to plan and schedule production batches.
  • Ensuring any breakdowns or perceived problems are communicated to the Maintenance Department promptly and then work closely with maintenance on troubleshooting;
  • Collaborating and liaising with other managers in establishing and implementing best practice routines.
  • Working to achieve a zero-harm work environment and strive for continuous improvement on SH&E performance.
  • Responsibility for coordinating hygiene staff activities and ensuring the required hygiene standards are met.
  • Managing production work roster and leave.
  • Adhering to processes, procedures, and directions in relation to food safety and quality management.
  • Deliver malt to customer quality specification.

Profil / Compétences requises

  • Experience in production or manufacturing environments
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for learning and process improvement.
  • Quickly learn and adapt to process and procedures.
  • Make quick decisions while taking into account multiple factors.
  • Flexibility to work outside of ordinary business hours as required. Production occurs 24/7/365.
  • Advance computer and software experience.
  • Malting experience is not required and can be learnt on the job.
