We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Regional CFO Continental Europe to join our finance team and oversee the financial operations for Continental Europe. In this role you will report to Boortmalt’s Group CFO. You will be responsible for the financial management of the Belgian, Dutch, Spanish, German, French, Croatian and Hungarian legal entities of the Continental Europe Business Unit and for Granit Negoce and Boortmalt International.
As the Regional CFO Continental Europe, you will manage the Continental Europe finance teams and support local finance managers as required. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and strategic financial leader to make a significant impact on our organization.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent leadership abilities, and a proven track record in a senior financial role within a multinational FMCG business.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Ensure timely monthly accounts closing and reporting to group deadlines.
- Maintain clean financial statements and audits.
- Oversee Corporate Income Tax returns and other fiscal filings in liaison with external tax consultants.
- Ensure budgeting, forecasting, corporate financial reporting, financial analysis, and business plans are produced in a timely manner and are fit for purpose.
- Consolidate management accounts for Continental Europe.
- Manage the intercompany management fees and recharge process.
- Prepare monthly cash flow and working capital forecasts.
- Monitor business performance and collaborate with the Business Unit’s regional leadership team to develop corrective actions if needed, particularly regarding commercial margins and site performance.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses.
- Contribute to Group financial process improvement and maintain controls integrity.
- Critically evaluate Capex proposals, monitor spending, and authorize as appropriate.
- Maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisers, banks, government agencies, etc.
- Manage the Continental Europe finance teams, ensuring training and development needs are met.
- Support local finance managers as required.
