Your mission
As Senior Accountant, you are a
trusted financial expert and right hand of the Head of Accounting, owning
excellence across multi‑entity accounting operations. You combine hands‑on
expertise and people leadership to drive compliance, impactful reporting, and
continuous improvement in an international environment.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the right hand of the Head
of Accounting, supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensuring
continuity, quality, and timely delivery of priorities.
·
Guide, coach, and support the
accounting team, coordinating tasks and workloads in line with priorities set
by the Head of Accounting and contributing to cross‑functional projects as
accounting representative.
·
Oversee the preparation of
monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and financial statements of
different entities in accordance with BE GAAP.
·
Ensure accurate balance sheet
management, including reconciliations via Blackline, accruals (including
payroll), depreciation calculations, and follow‑up of outstanding purchase
orders.
·
Ensure completeness and
correctness of revenue recognition, including manual sales invoices (interest,
management fees, etc.), and lead intercompany reconciliation and settlement
processes.
·
Prepare and review group
reporting and coordinate the preparation of statutory annual accounts, working
closely with the accounting team.
·
Ensure compliance with VAT,
corporate income tax, and other regulatory requirements, maintain internal
controls, and coordinate statutory and tax audits.
·
Drive continuous improvement of
accounting processes by enhancing efficiency, leveraging automation, and
developing or updating accounting policies and procedures.
·
A Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting, Finance, or a related field, providing a strong financial
foundation
·
5–10 years of accounting
experience, with A to Z responsibility
·
A high level of attention to
detail and accuracy, even in complex situations
·
Solid expertise in BE GAAP, tax
regulations, and financial reporting
·
A sharp analytical mindset with
strong problem‑solving and
decision‑making skills
·
Professional communication and
interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders
·
The ability to perform under
pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
·
Advanced Excel skills and
proficiency in accounting software; experience with JDE or Connexis is a strong
plus
·
Language skills: fluent in
Dutch and English; French is an asset
