Warehouse storekeeper

Missions essentielles

  • Supervise assistant storekeepers, daily laborers, and guards; manage daily warehouse operations and report misconduct or performance issues.

  • Manage intermediary store operations, including receiving, unloading, stacking, storage, dispatch, cleanliness, safety, and FIFO compliance.

  • Check malt barley quality (visual/sensory), ensure consistent QC compliance, and coordinate with Quality/QC teams on off-spec materials.

  • Verify quantities against dispatch documents; prepare and validate receiving notes, vouchers, and system records.

  • Ensure timely unloading, proper storage, and authorized transfer of barley to the Boortmalt plant store.

  • Control and track all barley shipments and internal transfers; maintain accurate daily reports and ERP/Source system entries.

  • Maintain a clean, pest-free store environment and ensure all safety equipment and PPE compliance.

  • Coordinate with logistics, ZAC, field advisors, procurement, and management on deliveries, quality, and reporting.

Profil / Compétences requises

Qualifications: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management, Agriculture, or related field. Additional training in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or Source platform) is an advantage.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehouse or storekeeping roles, preferably in agribusiness, food processing, or FMCG industries. Familiarity with agricultural raw material handling, particularly cereals or barley, is highly preferred.

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Basic quality inspection knowledge
  • Good numerical and analytical ability
  • Ability to use digital inventory and reporting platforms (e.g., Source)
  • Knowledge of safety and hygiene standards in storage environments
  • Good leadership and coordination skills with laborers and assistant staff
  • Attention to detail and reliability in documentation
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
